The clinic is committed to delivering comprehensive care and support throughout the entire weight loss journey, and is also the only bariatric clinic in Ontario operating out of a hospital with overnight care. Evidently, OBC needed a website that reflected their exceptional service standards, and their current website was not doing the job. MINA Medical Marketing provided Ontario Bariatric Clinic with our medical web design service. Read below to find out what their challenges were, and how our healthcare marketing agency solved them.
Ontario Bariatric Clinic's old website did little to speak to their unique service features and why their clinic has an edge over any other bariatric clinic in Ontario. The content on the site was poorly laid out, had tons of grammar errors, and came off as an overwhelming amount of repetitive information. The web design was also very outdated and in general not very unique or visually pleasing, which of course did not help in efforts to convert the user into a patient. As well as this, there were severe functionality issues within the site.
For one, the majority of the buttons on the homepage were malfunctioning, most notably the "call now" buttons, which would not allow the patient to call the clinic, as well as any buttons that should have lead to other informational pages, but instead refreshed the homepage.
These issues not only negatively effect conversions and patient experience, but are also a killer for any SEO efforts on the site. Google knows when a site has broken links and buttons, as well as poor content, and in turn ranks the website lower on it's rankings.
The first step was to enhance and optimize the content on the site. Our copywriting team went to work using the existing site content and fixed any grammatical issues, any poor or oversaturated content, and optimized everything for medical SEO to help Ontario Bariatric Clinic rank locally on Google for it's target keywords.
Next, we meticulously put together a beautiful custom surgeon web design that was not only aesthetically pleasing to the viewer, but had all the content and graphics laid out in a way that was accessible and convenient for the potential patient. We kept the brand colours the same, enhanced the logo which was originally in poor quality, and made sure the design was not just professional, but friendly, putting the patient at ease when making the decision to get an operation.
Lastly, of course, we ensured the functionality of the site making sure the backend was running smoothly and the buttons were leading to the resources the patient needs. The site was made responsive, meaning it changes according to the device you're viewing the content on. On desktop, any "call now" buttons are displayed by the phone number itself, while on mobile, the button automatically calls the clinic.
